I was thinking about this earlier today, and I had to tell the poor kid that I didn’t know. I told him that maybe the garbage men are on another garbage man’s route, so someone else takes their trash. Honestly, the only interaction I’ve had with garbage men is the Arthur episode when Francine is embarrassed because her father is a. . . you guessed it. Garbage man.

I was reading a whale book to the kids today, and the middle child asked, “Miss Brandy, what is that?”

“It is a baby whale coming out of his mother. You know, being born.” (I am so good with words.)

*insert gross face here* “That is absolutely disgusting. Why is it hanging out of her like that?” It wasn’t necessarily the reaction to the picture that cracked me up; it really was the picture itself. Ok, maybe it was funnier at the time. Guess you just had to be there. Plus, I just wanted to post a picture because it’s Thursday. (And it’s hanging out of her like that because whale babies are born tail first so their tails can get used to swimming before their head pops out, just in case you wanted to know.)

Oh, and here’s another good one.

Whoa. Don’t ya just miss being a kid sometimes? Because other than talk about garbage men, whale babies and fat dogs, we rode bikes, played on the jungle gym and monkey bars, and ate macaroni and cheese (though, it was organic). Hope you’re all having a wonderful day. I think I need a nap.
