I know that I haven’t been good at keeping up with consistent posting as of late. There are many things going on all at once, and while I am quite content, I am just busy with. . . things. Days are flying by, and events are taking over my life. Loving it, but it leaves no time for blogging. or showers.
I am currently staying with a family with two children. This is a unique situation because 1. Their father is in Belgium for three weeks, 2. their mother just had surgery and needs help every once in a while, and 3. I actually like this family. The latter one is the unique fact.
I really should do a post dedicated to the first nannying experience I ever had. It was probably one of the most trying experiences I have ever gone through.
But that’s another day.
Tomorrow, I’m going to look at a house that Matthew and I may be able to rent during the last year we’re here in podunk town, USA. Thank God. But the best part about this house is that it has central heating and air. Yay! The big thing about where we live is that the houses are all really old. This means that most houses, unless they were built within the past 50 years or so, don’t have central heating and air, no insulation and dismally warped hardwood floors. Bugs get in, cold air gets out, the furniture is being held up with pieces of cardboard, and the bathroom is the size of a closet. Not that it’s the most horrible place in the world. But when you find a baby possum nibbling on the plastic in the closet in the bathroom, I’d say it’s probably about time that we find a new place.
I’m skipping a wedding this weekend that is about 4 hours away. Am I being a horrible friend? Probably. but I need to stay here. Plus, I’m broke.
Part-time until the third week of this month, so I hope I don’t go crazy with the slight budgeting crisis that came up the other day. I’m sure we’ll make it though. Actually, there’s no doubt about it, so I don’t know why I ever worry in the first place.
Anyway, enough rambling. I’m enjoying how things are going, and I’m trying not to complain as much as I was once in the habit of doing. Laterzzzz.

Central heating and air are seriously a Godsend. You will never go back to old and shitty heat/air.

You’re not being a horrible friend. Not at all, they should understand.
